Steven Kakaire

Hello there, I am Steven Kakaire, a Machine Learning and Software Engineer working at the intersection of Machine Learning and Software Engineering.

I am graduate of Msc. Data Communication and Software Engineering, and Bsc. Computer Engineering, Makerere University specializing in Machine Learning for Software Engineering, Machine Learning and Data Processing. I was advised by Prof. Benjamin Kanagwa and Dr. Rashidah Kasauli.

I am currently researching and building solutions for Machine Learning for Software Engineering (ML4SE), Data Processing and Machine Learning. I am an Open Source Contributor, currently contributing to Python Numerical Computing and Machine Learning. I am an organizer of regular meetups about Open Source, Data and Scientific Computing at PyData Kampala.

Away from work, I am a part of a small Christian group and a church minister at St. Francis Chapel, Makerere University, a reader and writer of books. Checkout the books I’ve authored, read, am reading or will read.
